Barbs Marshall is a very modern Manchester girl, a bit of an entrepreneurial genius, with her own hairdressing salon and her own TV make-over show, living in a trendy loft apartment in the city. But she is pushing forty and is almost deafened by the ticking of her biological clock. To make matters worse, her mother is an interfering nag, her best friend has a secret and her ex-husband has a new girlfriend. Then into her life comes a young and handsome stranger, ever more than ready to oblige.
This is a wittily sharp and poignant comedy about different kinds of love, romantic love, mother love and friendship, affecting one woman who is determined to get what she really, really wants. A treat of a play.
