Brian Tickle had been nominated for Best Male Comedy Performance for his performance in Run for Your Wife. Although the award went to another society, Kevin Proctor (NODA rep) led a heartfelt standing ovation to Brian as a mark of respect and as a gesture to all his years of commitment to the Garrick. It was an emotionally charged moment with 400 amateur theatre makers standing and cheering. Brian would have been very proud, I’m sure.
